How Do You Plan a Pool in Durham?
The City of Durham or Durham County sets what your pool permit needs, and many HOAs want to see the plan first. State law requires a free NC 811 request before any dig.
Wooded lots and tight side yards need a clear way in for the one-piece pool, and a pool on a sloped yard may need leveling.
Durham Pool Builder Questions
What does a fiberglass pool cost in Durham?
The price of a fiberglass pool depends on the model, how easy your yard is to reach, how flat it is, the soil and any rock, how far the pool sits from power and water, permits, fencing, the deck and extras. Each yard is different, so ask for a free quote for yours.
Can a fiberglass pool go in a sloped or wooded Durham yard?
Often, yes, with the right plan. A slope may need leveling or a retaining wall, and the one-piece pool needs a clear way in, often by crane. We talk through both at your free consultation, then write your quote.
Do you sell other pool types in Durham?
Yes. Sun Pools fiberglass comes first, and we build custom vinyl liner pools too. We also sell Doughboy semi in-ground and above ground pools, Aquora plunge pools and Beach Club pools.
Can I finance a pool in Durham?
Yes, pool financing is offered. The lender sets approval and terms, so ask about it with your free quote.
What warranty comes with a pool in Durham?
A pool warranty comes in three parts: one from the pool maker, one from each equipment maker and one for the install work. Ask for the written terms of each part with your quote, and read our pool warranty guide before you sign.
